JORDAN FINDLAY
Hello my fellow grievers.

Welcome to the world's biggest team that nobody wants to be a part of.
I'm Jordan, I'm 24 and a recent graduate of Leeds university. I'm currently juggling my MA and a ‘big girl’ job, trying to better myself and find my calling. In 2015, I lost my mother, and best friend, to aggressive breast cancer. This marked the beginning of an unfortunate spiral of grief, losing my niece to Edwards Syndrome and father to cardiac arrest shortly after. Although those years were understandably the worst of my life, I was shaped by these tragedies and I'm hopeful for the future. My approach to grief is centred around humour and can often be quite morbid, I found this to be the best approach for me- but remember we all grieve differently!
My aim for Grieve and Groove is to get young people talking about grief and break down the stigmas that delayed my ability to heal. As a southerner living in the north, I would really like to focus on how we can build a safe place to call home amongst grief, even when home doesn’t quite feel like home anymore or you’re separated by distance and time.
I will always be grieving for the loss of so many fantastic people in my life but I want to groove as well, and hopefully help others get their groove on too. Looking forward to hearing your stories and getting to grieve and groove with you. Stay groovy, Jordan (she/her) Grieve and Groove team
